Beach Clean (21st May)

The weather was very kind to the three of us who decided to spend just over an hour collecting bits of rubbish on Tankerton beach. Crisp packets, sweet wrappers, cigarette stubs, plastic bits and bobs were among the items collected.
We met a very diligent Canenco litter collector and bin emptying gentlemen who was telling us about the items he picks off the beach. I feel our efforts are appreciated. I will book a June date and hope that a few more members might join us.

Beach Clean (28th April)
Despite the 22 mph wind there were 6 of us who took part in today’s litter pick on Tankerton beach. Small items like bits of plastic were collected along with discarded pieces of nylon cloth and non-biodegradable rope which were collected around the dinghy’s at the sailing club. Other items included empty drinks cans, cardboard plus a used contraceptive device, that may be a good thing depending on your opinion ? It was certainly a worthwhile session, so a big thank you to those who took part.
